What is NLP?
Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) is an approach to communication, personal development, and psychotherapy created by Richard Bandler and John Grinder in California, United States in the 1970s. Its creators claim a connection between the neurological processes ("neuro"), language ("linguistic") and behavioral patterns learned through experience ("programming") and that these can be changed to achieve specific goals in life.
NLP methodology can "model" the skills of exceptional people, then those skills can be acquired by anyone. This can be applied in any and all aspects of your life, career and personal relationships. I work with my clients by utilizing the NLP tools and skills to remodel and adapt less positive situations in the business environment in to positively reframed and successful outcomes.
I work on the below principles:
a. Outcome orientation with respect for others’ models of the world and the ecology of the system.
b. There is only feedback -not failure.
c. The Meaning of your communication is the response you get.
d. Adaptive intent of all behavior.
e. Everyone has the necessary resources to succeed.
f. Resistance is a signal of insufficient pacing.
NLP practitioner training and coaching allows me to work with clients and their teams to identify the challenges that digital transformation and change imposes on businesses and their cultures. I gather a big picture view of the environment, processes, ecology of the environment and team dynamics, as well as working with indiviuals to identify where their pain points, frustrations or more general habits are interacting amidst that environment. As you dive deeper and peel back the layers the techniques in NLP aid in providing a framework and engaging zone to create flexibility and creativity.
As more and more organizations move to adapt and evolve into this realm, it is becoming extremely clear why so many are now beginning to embrace the benefits that can be offered, whilst already experiencing a pressure to deliver ’today’ with new innovation and fast pasted delivery mechanisms.
How does this apply in business?
Change in organizations is no longer an occasional occurrence, but rather a continuous and constant and often organic state and this can throw up many interesting challenges along the way across a multitude of areas; team, organisation, governance, delivery pressures, lack of understanding and C+ level buyin, to name just a handful.
By collaborating with these teams, I can then help establish better working practices, career growth, hone process, and coach individual team members on numerous delivery aspects. I provide a tailored approach to each and every project so that it fits directly with the environment and culture of the business I’m working with.

Life is not always about the destination, its more about the journey we take to get there, but having a clear idea of that purpose or goal enables the journey to be that much more exciting.
